The public artwork 'Bounce' was commissioned for the primary entry to the newly built Queensland State Tennis Centre in Brisbane. The 12 metre high sculptural work stands between the entrance footpath and the practice courts that run parallel to the building's main approach. The work comprises of three figures made of elevated steel hoops. Each hoop is a notional cross section through a tennis ball that undergoes distortions to its shape as it bounces and spins away at speed. The combined hoops suggest a blurred volume in movement.

The three elevated volumes suggested by the thin tracery of the hoops distort and dissolve as the viewer moves past them toward the entry.
