Episode 3 of Landscape Conversations podcast with Anton James is now live

Anton James speaks with acclaimed landscape painter Idris Murphy.

The series made possible through the RMIT University School of Architecture and Design SRC fund, explores the diverse ways in which landscape is worked in, thought of and defined.

Presented and produced by Anton James and Matthew Kneale, The Landscape Conversations podcast series will explore the diverse ways in which landscape is worked in, thought of and defined. Landscape architects, scientists, artists, filmmakers and others who shape how we understand landscape discuss their work, their influences and their ideas about landscape in a series of informal interviews.

Four conversations have been recorded with Australian and international guests and will be released throughout 2017

Episode 1 - Kathryn Gustafson, kathryn is an internationally acclaimed landscape architect and partner in two offices, Gustafson Guthrie Nichol in Seattle and Gustafson Porter in London.

Episode 2 - Philip Coxall -Director of McGregor Coxall. He has over 20 years international experience in landscape architecture, urban design and planning. Projects include Ballast Point Park and the Former BP site at Waverton in Sydney.

Episode 3 - Idris Murphy - is an Australian contemporary landscape painter with a deep connection to the wild and empty spaces of the Australian landscape. His is work is represented in numerous collections including the national Gallery of Australia.

Episode 4 - Sue Barnsley - is director of Sue Barnsley Design landscape Architects working across a range of project types and scales that are recognised for their design excellence, environmental focus and sensitivity to context.
